Alleluia! He is risen!
“Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
2 Corinthians 12:8-10 ESV
Here’s the Congregation at Prayer for you to go through on your own today. I’ll continue with the daily-devotion videos tomorrow.
This week’s Deeper in the Word will be based on the above passage. Take the passage with you as you go about your day. When I meditate on a passage of Scripture, I like to use the words that Eli gave to Samuel: “speak, Lord, for your servant hears.” Whatever you choose to pray, the point is that you’re asking God to enlighten your mind, which He does by His Spirit, who comes to you through His Word.
I’d love to get a note from you in the next few days with your thoughts or questions on the passage and we’ll dive deeper into the thoughts of St. Paul later this week and what all he had in mind
The peace of the Lord be with you.
Yours in Christ,
Pastor Courie
